Welcome to the F.D. Roosevelt Squadron of the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps (NSCC) based at NAS Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Florida.

The NSCC is for American youth ages 10-17 who have a desire to learn about the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Merchant Marine. Sea Cadets are authorized by the Secretary of the Navy to wear Navy uniforms appropriately marked with the Sea Cadet Corps insignia. The objectives of the Sea Cadet program are to introduce youth to naval life in a hands-on, real-world environment, to develop in them a sense of pride, patriotism, courage, and self-reliance, and to maintain an environment free of drugs and gangs.

Community Service Opportunity

We have been invited to help out with Flag for Heroes again this year.

We will be planting flags in downtown Jacksonville for our fallen Heroes on Memorial Day weekend.

This is a non drill event and strictly for those that would like to volunteer to receive Community service hours.

We will be needed from 0800 to 1100 (8am to 11am) on 24 May to plant the flags and from 1800 to 1930 (6pm to 730pm) on 26 May to remove the flags.

If your cadet would like to attend one or both of these dates they will receive hours toward their Community Service ribbon.

Please RSVP below with the date you would like to attend.
